Shima Ukulele was founded by ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro and his brother, a fellow artist and teacher, Bruce Shimabukuro. They set out to create a quality ukulele that was obtainable for anybody interested in learning to play. Their ukulele achieves a concert-quality sound and feel at an affordable price. It was designed by Jake to ensure uncompromising playability and sound quality even at a lower price point. It is made of sustainable mahagony for its consistent tonal quality and is outfitted with custom D'Addario Pro Arte strings for a warm and consistent tone.
