Buying a Hawaiian shirt or dress for yourself is hard enough with all the choices of prints, colors, and styles. Picking something out as a gift for someone else can be even harder. Jungle Bird - Red (aka "The Magnum PI Shirt")
For many people, the list starts and ends right here with the Jungle Bird "Magnum PI" shirt by Paradise Found. This is the shirt that Tom Selleck wore on the hit 1980s show Magnum PI. This shirt was actually inducted into the Smithsonian Institute of American History along with other memorabilia from the show. The shirt has also appeared on many other TV shows and movies over the years and was even worn by the new Magnum PI played by Jay Hernandez. If you're looking for an Aloha shirt with a ton of history and ties to Hawaii, movies, and TV, this is the shirt to get.
Paradise Woodie - Green
We love the price and versatility of the Paradise Woodie shirt. The single color scenic design gives it vintage vibes yet retains a reserved look that is at home on vacation and at the office (depending on where you live). Since its introduction a couple months ago, this shirt and the similar Waikiki Beach shirts have proven very popular with people looking for an aloha shirt that shows a little tropical flair without being too loud.
Star Orchid - Burgundy
The burgundy version of the Star Orchid Hawaiian shirt is the latest in a line of different colors in this long-running shirt by Paradise Found. A slightly different version of this print was worn by Tom Selleck in Season 1, Episode 1 of Magnum PI in 1980. That shirt was green. He also wore a black version later in that same season. The flowers on that shirt were more closely packed together which many people said looked a little too busy. So print was updated to the current design with the flowers spread further apart. Shoppers seemed to like the updated version as sales improved significantly. Since then, this shirt was made in an estimated 14 different colorways though only a few colors were in production at any given time. For most of the past 15-20 years, the shirt was only available in black. In 2021, Paradise Found started reviving colors like Navy, Periwinkle, and Rainforest. In September 2025, this handsome and richly colored burgundy version was released.
Route 66 Americana - Khaki
Did you know that 2026 is the 100th anniversary of the famous Route 66 highway that runs from Chicago to Los Angeles? Well it's true. And if you're looking for a shirt for that person in your life that loves to drive, travel, or is a fan of automotive or American history, one of the shirts in the Route 66 collection is worth checking out. There are currently 7 shirts with the Route 66 theme. The most popular one is the Route 66 Americana shirt by Pacific Legend.
Retro Oasis - Rust
If you're looking for shirts with a vintage look from the 1940s - 1970s, the Diamond Head Sportswear is with checking out. Their most popular shirts are the Retro Oasis Palms, which comes in Rust, Moss, and Cool Water. While we like all 3 colors, we are particularly fond of the Rust color because it is not a color that you see in many Aloha shirts...or many shirts of any kind.
Aviation / Military Themed Shirts
For the aviation and military fans out there, we put together a collection of shirts featuring vintage planes, jets, and ships from Aloha Republic, Pacific Legend, and RJ Clancey. The newest of these shirts is a cool official Blue Angels shirts. The green Fight or Flight shirt from RJ Clancey features WWII bombers and the design and color give it a vintage feel that matches the artwork.
Reverse Print Niihau - Navy
It is common for people in Hawaii to wear Aloha shirts to the office everyday. But the shirts tend to be more subdued in colors compared to the bold and colorful shirts that many of us love. "Reverse Print Aloha Shirts" are typically made with "inside out" with the underside of the material sewn out the outside. Even on a colorful print, one side of the usual bold and bright colors while the underside looks faded. When we brought back the muumuus from Pacific Legend recently, customers thanked us for it. While not a dress style for everyone, if you're looking for a muumuu with loads of retro Aloha vibes, these muumuus might be just for you. They are all made of 100% cotton and most of them even come in matching men's shirts.
Painted Hibiscus Camp Shirt - Coral
This lovely and striking print will turn heads wherever you go. Bold and beautiful, this camp shirt makes a great gift for the extrovert in your life who doesn't mind standing out in a crowd with contagious tropical energy. This shirt is also available in blue and jade as well as many other prints.
White Ginger V-Neck Blouse - Red

We have been a fan of these shirts for years and wish they would make more of them in different prints. The Floral Garden print in the sky color has been a top seller for a long time, especially in the men's shirt. The sleeveless blouse makes a grade gift as part of a matching set.
